Memorial Day is a federal holiday, so there’s no mail delivery and all post offices are closed. All government offices, schools and libraries are also closed for the day.

If you need to get to Walmart or Target on Monday, May 27 for last minute cookout supplies, you are in luck. Most retail stores, including liquor stores and grocery stores, are open.

However, you won’t be able to find how your stocks are doing until Tuesday because the stock market is closed.

As far as banks go, your best bet is to find an ATM, because most banks will be closed on Monday with the exception of TD Bank. They are open on open most holidays, including Memorial Day. The only days that TD Bank closes are New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.

Carey asked Spencer if they should call her wardrobe malfunction “the Central Park Saga.”

Admitting that her Versace dress was a bit too snug, but she made light of it saying. “I love you Donatella, but it popped darling.”

Minutes later, Mariah Carey was back on stage in Central Park wearing a hot pink gown that was not as form fitting as the one that “popped” to avoid another zipper bust on stage.

NBC New York reports that police were called to Bynes’ apartment on West 47th Street after someone reported a “disorderly person” in the building.

Police arrived at her apartment to find her throwing a bong out the window of her apartment.

She was arrested and taken to Roosevelt Hospital where she will undergo psychiatric evaluation.

Once the evaluation is complete, she will be processed at the Midtown police station.

Amanda Bynes is already on probabtion for driving with a suspended license, so her arrest on Thursday night is just one more thing to add to a growing list of legal problems.

The former Nickelodeon star also has a DUI case pending in Beverly Hills.

In this week’s TIME magazine, Allman reveals what it was like to go to the prom with Barack Obama.

She also dug up some photos that show Obama beaming with his date, dressed in a white suit jacket, dark shirt and tie. Alongside Obama and Allman in the picture was his best friend at the time, Greg Orme and his date.

Even better? The note Barack Obama wrote to Allman in her high school yearbook.

Kelli Allman tells TIME that she had a wonderful time at the prom with Barack Obama. She states, “It was a really fun, happy time. We were all cracking up, and everyone was smiling … It was pretty typical from there out as far as what happens at prom: the dinner and the dancing and the photos.”

Not only will the IRS be closed for business on May 24, three other federal government agencies will be have their doors locked as well.

Add in the federal holiday on Monday and you won’t be getting answers from anyone in those agencies until Tuesday.

Due to a furlough of approximately 115,000 workers, the following government agencies will be closed on Friday:

• Internal Revenue Service
• Department of Housing and Urban Development
• Environmental Protection Agency
• White House Office of Management and Budget

More than five percent of the federal workforce will get an extra-long weekend, but they won’t get paid for Friday.

The unpaid day off is part of either the sequester or the federal spending cuts made on March 1. These cuts slashed $85 billion from government agencies and programs through the end of September.

So, if you have a question about tax refunds, polluters or subsidized housing, call on Thursday or you will have to wait until Tuesday, May 28 to get an answer. Friday the offices will be closed due to the furlough and Monday is Memorial Day, a federal holiday.

Despite reports that the Oklahoma tornado caused a much higher death toll, the state medical examiner’s office issued a report on May 21 that the official death toll is now 24.

That total includes seven children who were killed in Monday’s massive twister.

The AP reports that some of the victims may have been counted twice, explaining the much higher number of fatalities reported in the press.

On Monday night, many in the media were reporting that more than 50 people were dead, including 20 children after a tornado bullied its way through Moore, just 10 miles south of Oklahoma City.

Teams are continuing to search the rubble in Moore, 10 miles south of Oklahoma City, after the Monday afternoon tornado.

The Seattle Times reports that Portis was pulled over on May 5, 2013 and the officer on the scene reported a “strong odor of intoxicants coming from the vehicle.”

Portis reportedly had “watery bloodshot eyes” and admitted to drinking tequila earlier in the day.

The arrest report, obtained by NFL.com states that John Portis was asked by authorities what day it was, to which the Seahawks QB replied, “Cinco de Mayo.”

Hopefully Portis will dry out in time for the NFL season to start. After all, he hasn’t played in a regular season game since yet.

E! News reports that while there is no confirmation that Pattinson and K-Stew broke up last weekend, their sources state that singer Katy Perry might be the driving force behind the possible split.

Pattinson and K-Stew still haven’t said a word about their rumored split, but there are some indications that Perry and Pattinson were enjoying each other’s company recently.

The pair were spotted out partying before his recent birthday and again at the Coachella Music Festival.

Katy Perry and Rob Pattinson were also photographed together following the MET Gala Costume Ball in New York.

Kristen Stewart was there, too, but she walked the red carpet alone.
